The old artist

Image
There was an aged artist who lived in a small village. The man used to design beautiful artistic works to be sold at an attractive price One day, a poor man among the villagers challenged the old man saying: You earn a lot of money from your handiwork but why don't you assist indigent people in the village? Cant you see the butcher who is not as  rich as you are, but still shares free meat to the destitute people in the village, Also, look at the village baker, a  poor man with a large family, yet he gives the poor people free loaves of bread. The artist did not respond angrily to the challenges,  rather just smiled . The poor man was so confused about the reaction of the artist so he left him and went out spreading rumors that the artist was so rich, but he was a stingy person who  only accumulated wealth and  refused to help less privileged. The entire villagers took vengeance, they broke away from the old artist man and they all forsook him. In a mean time, the age

Women and their love for Bad boy's

Image
Have you ever wondered why the wrong men feel so right? It has been said that ladies are attracted to bad boys. But the truth is, no lady wants a man who will hurt her, abuse her and disrespect her. The "bad" that many women are often attracted to is not a man with bad character, but "bad" in style and personality. A man who is loyal and loving to the woman but has a strong and almost carefree personality; a man who is nicely dangerous and exciting; who brings the good kind of drama and makes her blood run. Women are generally attracted to the danger associated with bad boys, which creates a thrill which most believe they cannot get with good guys. Here are some of the reasons why women are attracted to bad boys: Women never learn a lesson Women can be hurt over and over again but will continue dating the same type of guy with hopes of finding the right person but always end up dating the same characters over and over again. Self-esteem issues Women wit

Fake Gas Cylinder

Image
Worried by the continued influx of fake and sub-standard Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders into Nigeria, a cooking gas advocate has warned that Nigerian homes may start experiencing `bomb-like’ explosions in their kitchens soon, caused by fake cylinders. The warning, follows reports that N38 million worth of cooking gas cylinders have been impounded by the Nigerian Customs Service in the latest clampdown on importers of fake cylinders. On Aug. 1, the Director-General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON), Mr Osita Aboloma, announced that hundreds of imported cylinders were impounded for failing to meet safety requirements. Analysts say that N38 million is capable of bringing up to 1.8 million cylinders into the country. According to them, less than one million homes currently use LPG for their cooking in Nigeria, which is Africa’s most populous nation. The Federal Government has recently launched a campaign to ensure that up to 13.8 million households adopt L

Grandson, a UK-based Nigerian of Yoruba descent, is known for his social media attacks on people of Igbo extraction as well as criticism of the Hausa-Fulani. On Tuesday, the Scotland Yard Counter Terrorism Command arrested Grandson for allegedly “stirring racial discrimination” against the Igbo and Fulani ethnic groups and also “encouraging terrorism”. After being grilled for nine hours, Grandson denied any involvement in terrorism or encouraging racial hatred and said YYF only supports the return of Nigeria to the regional system. New Yam Festival In Umueri Town, Anambra State, Nigeria The new yam festival is an event that takes place every year and is mostly celebrated in the South, Middle belt and East of Nigeria. The event takes place at different times in various villages around the country at the end of the rainy season between August to October. THE SIGNIFICANCE OF THE NEW YAM FESTIVAL For some villages the new yam festival starts when the planting season begins. The planting season starts around March and the yams are planted by the elders and chief priest of the village. The harvesting season is the major reason for the new yam festival as the harvesting of the new yam is a more elaborate affair than the planting season. The harvesting season occurs after the rains have stopped and the crops are ready for harvesting. When the day for harvesting arrives, people of the village go their farms with a lot of joy and happiness especially if they are expecting a great yield and dig out th

SUMMER HOLIDAY

Image
A child will go to school by 7am and close by 5pm for five days out of the seven days in a week. During weekends that child comes home with many assignments in all the subjects he or she is offering in school. So there won't be time to rest and play through out the weekend. The child does that for almost four months hoping to enjoy the holidays only for schools to come up with a scam in the name of holidays lesson. What exactly do you want to teach that child? Dear Nigerian parents, summer holiday is a period you allow a child to experience other things in life apart from formal education. Allow them to travel for the vacation and if you don't have money for vacation, take them to a place where they will learn new skills. Let them go and learn how to draw, computer coding, how to play football, martial art, learn business, catering, tie and die, learn foreign languages etc Allow this children to explore life. Northern  politicians lived in bubbles, in distant cities. In their narcissism , they said it was popularity. The naive jobless youths in their ignorance, considered them  their own share of national big men. So the northern politicians  were safe and happy. They lived like lords, harvesting political  rents. Their  pol
