Godly Heritage APRIL 17 ·FRIENDS Cultural heritage is the legacy of physical science artifacts and intangible attributes of a group or society that are inherited from past generations, maintained in the present and bestowed for the benefit of future generations. Back in the late sixties, Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young came out with a popular song called, “Teach Your Children Well.” It was addressed to the freewheeling hippie generation, which had tried to cast off all the restraints and rules of their parents’ generation. While the song reflected noble intentions, I always thought that there was a great deal of irony reflected in it, that this rebellious generation would somehow succeed in teaching their children where their parents had failed. I’m afraid that my generation succeeded in teaching our kids all too well. We taught them that lifelong commitment in marriage is outdated. We taught them to cast off the roles of husband as provider and wife as mother and homemaker

Love For Umueri

Life has many sides but the one ordained for every true sons and daughters of the soil is the winning side of life. This side of life is also known as the overcoming life. This is because we have overcome inferiority complex, we have been translated from weak and pitiable Kingdom into a Kingdom and people where dominion and glory are our honour, we now live as a people who has their own voice and a people you cannot force illegality or puppet down their throat. However one of pivotal aims of every Kingdom is to extend the culture s and values of the king through expansion of territories. Hence all who lives in a Kingdom lives for one purpose : they live for the king. To live their lives for themselves. Is to live unto death. It is essential to note that before a territory can be expanded, it must be overcome and. Conquered. Thus how then do we overcome a territory? Bishop Matthew Kukah On Biafra Agitation

From Bishop Matthew Kukah Anyone who thinks the Biafra agitation is a nuisance and irritating should know that it is not the collective aspiration of all Igbos but especially that no one has the monopoly of nusinace. Nuisance begets nuisance. When you stay with potash loaders you too will share in their dusty hair. It is in this country that the same standards are not held against all. Some can get away with anything but others cannot get away with something. I shudder at those who blame the agitators for agitating. Everyone knows what is good for them. If you don't know what is good for you then shut up and don't obstruct those who know what is good for them. If I have my way I will cease to be a Nigerian because there is no sense of nationhood. Those who have leverage over others use it to oppress them. Otherwise how can you explain the audacious impunity of a certain section of this country. They can intimidate everybody even a sitting president and get away with it. When
