Recall that Agbasimelo had emerged as the governorship candidate of the party in a primary election held in the state some months ago. The emergence of Agbasimelo led to a crisis in the party, and one of the leading aspirants in the primaries, Nnamdi Nnoruka, was allegedly kidnapped by unknown persons and forced to withdraw from the contest.  Breaking News INEC recants, says it will now distribute non sensitive materials from Awka and no longer Owerri. INEC had earlier said it will use its storage facility at Owerri for the non sensitive materials that will be used in Anambra on November 6. But the idea generated controversy and rejection by many stakeholders.
