Mass Defection Of State Legislators

About 12 Anambra state House of Assembly Members yesterday decamped to APC. They held a secret meeting at Abuja with APC leaders where conditions and agreements were reached.


Some of the House members who were at the meeting are; Hon Cater Dike Umeh, Hon Smart Nonso Okafor, Hon Lawrence Ezeudu, Hon Tim Ifediora, Hon Arthur Chiekwu, Hon Edward Ibuzo and others whose names we shall not disclose now.


With these 12 House Members decamping to APC and 6 members of the House who are of PDP, APGA will lose majority in the House of Assembly when it resumes on September 21. UT Media also gathered that Hon Chidi Udemadu of Ihiala I constituency has concluded plans to defect to PDP.


This impliies that the Speaker, Rt Hon Uchenna Okafor will be impeached. The Speaker is right now in London, and from the information available to us, he has been restless since last night that UT Media broke the news.


The Speaker has been making frantic calls to his colleagues. It is not clear if he may also decamp with the majority if he fails to stop them from defecting.


It was not only serving APGA house members that held meeting at Abuja yesterday, there are other former House of Assembly Members and Former House of Reps members from APGA who held a separate meeting with APC.

Unknown Youths From Nsugbe Attacks Umueri Project

INVASION BY NSUGBE YOUTHS SECOND TIME

 Within space of six months Nneyi Community in Umueri Anambra East LGA of Anambra state has been attack by it neighbor Nsugbe for undisclosed reasons. On 27th May 2023 during the mounting of a Gantry billboard by Umueri Progressive Forum, the engineer and his boys were attacked, their vehicles damaged some of the local guide that was stationed there were beaten to stupor and he recognized them to be from Nsugb e.  The President General of Nsugbe Town Union and his vigilante Chief denied knowledge of the dastardly act and said that the perpetrators  were not from Nsugbe, Nneyi people allowed this to be in the interest of peace.  The wanton destruction of lives and properties of Ndi Umueri by Nsugbe Youths this morning as many structure were destroyed many were maimed leaving them between life and death. Nneyi people are yet to understand what happened to them as they cannot explain what happened.
