Brief Profile Of Comrade Kachi Nzedigwe
Early Life
Nzedigwe Obiora Francis popularly known as
Kachi Nzedigwe, was born on August 27, 1972, in Umueri, Anambra, Nigeria. As a boy he started his early life in Umunagu Adegbe Umueri with his siblings, he left Umueri for Benin City in 1979 to live with his elder sister and her family, he grew up into adulthood as a technician and has establish himself in many spheres of life.
•Challenges faced and how I overcome them
My Challenges are numerous, My Dad died when I was nine years old it throws me off balance then, as seems as my dad's death was not enough my mum suffered paralysis that kept her indoor for 22 good years before her death, it was a big life challenge that i have no choice but to embrace with open arms it helps shape my life into what it is today, my mummys condition forced me to combine business and education at the same time, i have every reason to give up but her situation keeps pushing me to move on so that i will shame the devil to glory of God. Not only did I succeed but were able to take care of my mum's till the end of her last days at the good age of 83 years.
Another challenge that was turbulent was my days as the chairman of my village, barely 3 months after being sworn in into office a rift occurs between the kindreds of Umunagu, we were unable to settle it within our normal village square meeting that it has to be taken a larger fora of Ogorogo Adegbe and Umunchezi where the matter was deliberated for ten good months and verdict given that we should go and share the disputed land into three among the three kindreds. During this period police from force CID Abuja came calling, federal high court Abuja seated over the matter, Otuocha high court were also hearing same matter, and many other brigandage that ensure during same period, simply because I refused to dance to the tune of certain person's whom are feeding on crisis in Umueri, because I refused to involve mercenary into the Umunagu imbroglio I erred against their myth and must be dealt with hence they devise all manner of campaign of calumny, character assassination and what have you to dent my image. I refused to bow to their pressure and served out my tenure unhindered, during same time i was serving as the TC secretary of Umueri General Assembly(UGA) and held my head high. The Lord was so gracious to me that many thought I will die during that turbulent year but I was wise enough to convince my executives and village men on the need to thread with caution as we are brothers and will one day reconcile as brothers and live in harmony once again, by His Grace I and some of my kinsmen were able to initiate peace between the kindreds and we are back to our village square holding meeting as brothers.
•Most significant achievements
I will say that it's being able to reunites the disintegrated kindreds of Umunagu, because I would have gone down in history as the chairman that his tenure collapsed the once peaceful union.
My era as the secretary of the town union was also a turbulent one but to the chagrin of many who thinks that the union will crumble were disappointed because we shoulders the propaganda and overturned the apathy some person's want to create in our community, being a blogger and social media crooner was a plus as it helps to disarm the propaganda of the dissidents.
My greatest joy is that God Almighty gave me a good life companion as a wife, a prayer warrior, mother and manager of my home who is solidly behind me in all the travail. To the glory of God I came out victorious, stronger and connected.
•Lessons and wisdom gained.
I will say that lot of lessons were learned because the Umunagu imbroglio was actually caused by land dispute which ordinarily wouldn't have been so, it strained lot of relationship, bad blood was drawn and we live in suspicion for sometimes, many things transpired out of fear during a meeting some person's suggested initiating love oath so that no one will perpetrate evil against his fellow kinsmen, no one will take another's property forcefully, majority goes for it and we passed it to be carried out at village level, the lesson learned is that some people reneged on the oath and went on to backstabbed their fellow kinsmen.
Wisdom accrued from this experience has moulded me into full fledged man and a complete leader as it impacted spirit of discernment in me to be able to discern when one comes with evil schemes.
•Advise and encouragement
Having seen much on scale's of life and leadership position I will encourage others to be steadfast in whatever position they find themselves in life, do not be swayed or influenced by negative people who did not meant well for you and the community at large, choose the circle of friends you keep to be the one that will influence you to do what will benefit your community and environment wherever you finds yourself.
Regards
Comrade Kachi Nzedigwe
