Anambra election And Beating The Incumbent
ANAMBRA POLL: *An incumbent Governor and Party Once Defeated their stronghold Will be Defeated Again By the Same Guard*
Electioneering period in Anambra state has always attracted public opinion and chronicle reactions from concern citizens of the state. Elections in the state previously involves different political parties with utmost respect to multi-party system of democracy in Nigeria.
However, in 2013, election was conducted in Anambra state and 3 major political parties was involved among others, PDP, APC and APGA.
*APGA and PDP were unfortunately adopted by the then President Goodluck Jonathan with special preference for Apga due to his personal relationship with the then Governor*
*Furthermore, a particular candidate of PDP shamefully disgraced all the naysayers and bad Belle pot belly politicians to emerge victorious in the primaries*
*This candidate even with incidence of the obvious sabotage by the president and betrayal by its own very party that sold out to Mr Peter Obi came second on the strength of his personality after campaigning for only 9 days*
*Since then, the same candidate have been defeating APGA with or without the help of PDP as exemplified in his defeat of Gov Willie Obiano in his own immidiate local government Anambra East*
*He disgraced Apga in Anambra West by winning nine out of ten wards*
What a show of strength and superiority.
*He is now in APC to repeat the same feat of 2015 by sending Willie Obiano back to Houston with a chartered plane and swimming trunk*
APC delegates would soon go into primary to choose who could fly the party's flag in the Nov, 18th poll but the big question is this:
_Is it not better to elect a candidate that has the history of beating Apga and the governor in their own bedroom?_
_Is it not better to feature a heavyweight champion as a candidate that has a track record of beating Apga and Willie obaino like feather weights even at home game?_
_Would they elect candidates that have no record of winning any known contested election, but reaps from imposition?_
*_If we did beat him in 2015, even when we don't have the support of our party, then we will do it again now that we are in a party that will support and work for its own candidate_*
