As November 18 governorship election primaries are closing in, the Young Democratic Party, YDP says it will obey the directive of the major stakeholders in the state which directed all political parties to nominate their candidates from Anambra North Senatorial Zone.
Speaking to APGA Interactive Forum Media Group, the state chairman of YDP, Mazi Toochukwu Uyanwa said the party wants to win the November election and zoning to Anambra North is to ensure that his party obeys the directive from Ndi Igwe, ASATU, Anambra Union, Ohaneze Ndigbo etc.
He maintained that no party can win election without the support of these leaders and stakeholders.
Meanwhile, APGA Interactive Forum Media Group has gathered that an Aguleri born politician, Hon Chinedu Idigo has declared to contest the November 18, governorship election under the platform of APGA led by Ochudo Martin Agbaso.
Idigo is expected to declare his ambition publicly and move on to pick APGA nomination form.
In a related development, information reaching APGA Interactive Forum (AIF) Media Group reveals that the Senator representing Anambra North Senatorial Zone at the Senate, Mrs Stella Oduah has secretly picked the PDP nomination form.
A source told AIF Media Group, that Senator Oduah picked the nomination form to undermine the chances of Oseloka Obaze from emerging victorious as PDP candidate. Obaze and Stella Oduah are from the same Ogbaru community.
While Obaze is working with the PDP State Caretaker Committee led by Prof ABC Nwosu, AIF Media Group has it on good authority that Ken Emeakayi led faction of PDP Anambra State exco ha applied for an order of the court, seeking to be recognised as the only body to organise the party primaries in the state for the purposes of the November 18 governorship election.
AIF Media Group learned that Emeakayi is wooing Dr Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah to join the November 18 governorship race.
As at filing this report, AIF Media Group has not confirmed if the Nnewi billionaire will accept the offer from Emeakayi camp.
